Farewell 2017
So how was 2017 for you? 2017 was a bit of a mixed bag for me and I am ready for 2018. There were plenty of beautiful moments and good times, but also some very challenging times. I'm glad my head is above water now and I really do have lots to be grateful for.
Isaac's first birthday was a big milestone for all of us. He's grown to become such an amazing little boy and the best thing about him is his smile and how happy he is (most of the time..!). For us as parents, we count our lucky stars everyday to have been blessed with him.
I had a tremendously happy 5 weeks in Hong Kong back in April/May for my brother's wedding, and managed a short hotel break with my parents and Isaac for which I will always treasure the memories of. Fast forward to August and we had a brilliant family staycation in the breathtaking Peak District and even had a go at rock climbing which is just pure insanity. We upgraded our car and got an auto instead of a manual and my life has changed forever, I am never going back to manual!
I worked hard on my wedding online business Lovely Wanders which I've yet to share with you guys on here, enjoyed my very first Mother's Day, did my first cake stall which was a success, and had my first baby-free holiday to Alicante with one of my besties.
I watched far too many Japanese shows on Netflix (but it resulted in this blog series), had a lovely family photo shoot done by my friend in the pretty seaside town of Whitstable (and necked a few oysters whilst I was at it!), went to 2 more stunning weddings that was filled with so much love and laughter, had lots of crazy baby play dates and I also met some wonderful people through Instagram who are now firm buddies.
My blog reached it's first 10,000 monthly page views and the highest DA score I've ever seen on Moz, and I can't tell you how insanely proud that has made me. I've had one of my recipes featured in a cookbook, wrote this most viewed blog post on Baby Friendly Restaurants in Hong Kong for Foodie Parents, got invited to enjoy this delightful afternoon tea with my parents and boarded a cruise ship for an all day blog event.
And it goes without saying, I had some pretty awesome food adventures in the past 12 months too. Another year of blogging under my belt, and I want to thank each and everyone of you who has stopped by and supported me.

The second time I've been featured in a cookbook. So proud!
Chinese wedding decors from my wedding shop. Love the intricate lace design on this tea set for the traditional Chinese tea ceremony.
Without even realising, it's been a year of marathon baking. Cakes for loved ones and cake orders!
Family time and holiday time.
The biggest love of my life.
A celebration of love with 3 amazing weddings.
Another year of delicious food and pretty venues.
Farewell 2017, Hello 2018!
Sounds like you’ve had such a busy year! Some beautiful cakes there, and Isaac just gets cuter and cuter! It was great to finally get chance to meet you last year, hope to see you again soon in 2018! :)
