The Quirkiest Coffee House in London, The Black Penny
The interiors caught my attention as I walked past and I had to retrace my steps for a better look. The decor was so idealic with a touch of rustic, industrial/warehousey and a slight french vibe to it. I know they say you can't judge a book by it's cover, but I knew the coffee just had to be great with decor like this. And damn good a coffee it was.
My flat white was silky smooth, with deep waves of fragrant coffee as it slipped down my throat. Non of that burnt and bitterness or sourness that I detest in a coffee.
Don't you just love the decor? After enjoying my coffee for over an hour, I still didn't want to leave!
The lunch menu looks great too, so I will have to pop by for lunch one day. The room downstairs is a lovely little private space with a recovered and genuine safe imbedded into the walls. Sadly, I forgot to take photos of it.
