Exquiste Afternoon Tea at Home with Ahmad Tea
When the lovely people at Ahmad Tea* sent me some teas to try, I knew it would be one of those relaxing mornings of tea sampling.
And look at the tea caddies they are in, just so beautiful and elegant! The tin holding the orange blossom tea with the magnificent peacock is so pretty and I love looking at it when I open the tea cupboard door. The earl grey caddie is a elegant white tin and if you haven't guessed it by now, I love pretty storage tins.
The orange blossom tea is so delightful. It's mild and soothing to drink, and the fragrance of the orange blossom wafts through in gentle waves. I can see myself drinking this in the afternoon when I want something lighter and more refreshing than English breakfast. G ended trying this tea too and really enjoyed it too. I think this tea will go perfectly with my homemade orange cake, must make that cake again soon!
Earl grey can be quite overpowering at times and I have to admit it's not my favourite tea, although I might have it now and then. However, Ahmad Tea's earl grey is possibly the best earl grey I have ever tasted and I could quite happily drink this every afternoon. The bergamot tastes quite natural and not like the fake lemon-y soap taste I was used to in earl grey, and this was definitely a new discovery for me.
The quality of tea is high and apparent with Ahmad Tea, and I'm so glad I got to try it. Earl grey anyone?
